KoTOR Trilogy

Postby CanadaDuck » Wed Jun 02, 2010 6:37 pm

Has anyone played Knights of the old republic 1 or 2, also known as KotOR1 or 2? Is anyone thinking of playing TOR when it finnaly comes out? I think its going to be an awsome game, and the first 2, though single player, are excellent games as well.

Well, SWTOR (Star Wars: The Old Republic) is what I presume what you're talking about for the new one coming out. It isn't exactly part of a "trilogy," it has a pretty different plotline, and it's an MMORPG, as I'm sure you know. I'm pretty excited about it, it looks amazing/innovative. I'm already part of a SWTOR Community, so ya. I haven't play the first 2 though, heard they were awesome

KOTOR series were great indeed. They put you so deep in SW galaxy you can lose your mind...

Based on what you and Samonuh wrote, is it really that good? What do you mean deep in the SW Galaxy? Now I may have to buy it.

I basically opens up a whole new story/world. It takes place 3000 years before the Original Trilogy, in a time of big conflict in the galaxy. There are so many characters on the Sith and Jedi sides. I'm just looking foward to SWTOR because I wanna fight me some Sith in the PvP aspect

It is.
Completely new SW world with open front war between light and dark.
Completely new knowledge about the The Force and what actually jedi and sith are and where did they come from.
The plot is so obsessional you will forget what sleeping is.

The Kotor2 had some good gameplay improvements, but the story was not that great, but still very good.

it is amazing kotor 1 won soo many awards and for the time it came out was amzaing graphics and i think it got rated #2 best star wars game of all time.
you can fully customize lightsabers, guns, armour, hundreds of different robe and armour types, amazing storyline with so many different options to take, multiple side characters, your decisions affect how dark/lightsided your character is, you can specialise as a gunner or jedi but your main character is a jedi you can still gun a lot. side characters include droids, mercenaries, jedi, wookie, and you can play as them too.
epic story line and if you dont use cheats some of the battles are quite challanging.
plus it is really cheap now since its an old game.
if you buy it you will be hooked until you have completed it as a Sith, a jedi, and as a gunner.

Kotor 3 looks amazing. i will have one character as a bounty hunter and one as sith inquisitor

this is a video of the combat system in kotor 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_ymDJJZSyg
this is a cinematic trailor (really really good, must watch) : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_ymDJJZSyg

IT'S NOT KOTOR 3! It is not a sequel to the storyline of KOTOR2. This is simply Star Wars: The Old Republic, it's an MMORPG. And if you're intending on having 2 different characters, it's P2P, so you'll have to probably pay double

Ya its not KotOR3 or a sequel to anything at all, by the looks of it, this is taking on a more SWG ( http://www.starwarsgalaxies.com) kind of look, role play, classes, another basic SW MMORPG, although it is alot different, in it being more KotOR then general star wars with swg. :beta1:
