The security encryption is cracked.... hacking in MW2 is excruciating. Only a matter of time till other games follow. Is it time to get a 360?

How about just jumping back into the PC gaming world where we KNOW there are hackers but also have a "few" tools to deal with them.. :)

No hacks for SWBF2. Everyone needs to play that instead.

It all comes down to "conveniently, without having to move a bunch of [poo]" being able to play games on my 55" TV. I know the computer can be hooked up to it but I have no desire to keep my gaming PC in the living room.

It won't get better Sony can't fix it, the security flaws aren't software they're hardware and when you have a security issue that is hardware the only way to fix it is with brand new hardware. The real problem is that Sony is sue the wrong group. While Mr. Geohotz (iPhone jailbreaker) is responsible for discovering and distributing the PS3 hardware security holes via his blog he is nothing compared to those who created, sold and distributed the Jailbreak USB hacking tool.

Geohotz screwed up, instead of contacting Sony and saying "Hey, you guys have a serious security flaw in your hardware lemme show ya!" He blurts it out for the whole world to see and use. Sadly Sony is taking this kind of exploit like a little kid thinking that their world can be saved if they simply closed the door but its a Pandora's box. Once information hits the internet is perpetuates to every corner and every website related to its subject being multiplied a million billion times, it will never go away, its cyber immortality.

Does it mean the PS3 is dead? Not really, its security has been severely compromised but nothing more than what you might get from playing on a PC. Developers will continue to make and sell games for the console and millions of people will logon to their PSN accounts everyday. Why? Because hacking and hackers have become a part of everyday life, they've become inevitable; people accept that and move on with their lives. Sony promised the PS3 as a 10 year system, in the time left before the PS3 is 10 years old Sony will have developed its next generation gaming console and hopefully its hardware engineers will have taken the hard lessons learned during the PS3's lifespan into consideration.
