TTR? Here's a video.

Red Dead Redemption is Rockstar's second go at an Old West open world third person shooter. While it bears the Red Dead name it has no known relation to Rockstar's Red Dead Revolver but does sport some similarities with notable improvements. Red Dead Redemption follows a former gang member named John Marston who is tracking down his former partner Bill Williams during the 1910 Mexican Revolution for yet-to-be known reasons.

Aside from the main story line the player is free to explore the dusty little prairie towns that dot the landscape to the scenic wilderness of rust colored plateaus and thick green forest. Red Dead Redemption features a karma system that effects how people interact with their character. Good karma can be earned by taking a bounty alive or by defending travelers or stage coaches from bandits while bad karma can be earned by stealing horses or robbing strong boxes of their golden riches.

Prairie towns will have a lot to offer the player in terms of side missions. The player will be able to enter saloons and take their chances at a hand of black jack for some quick cash. Alternatively the player can pick odd jobs that range from personal requests from civilians to collecting bounties to helping bandits pull off robberies. Various weapons are also available to the player in town from duel wielded Peace Makers to the Winchester Model 1873; even a lasso can be had for those who like to hog tie some baddies (or drag them behind their horse).

In addition to the various environments the game also features realistic weather and alternating seasons. Various creatures can also be found in the areas that surround the prairie towns; deer, buffalo even grizzly bears can found and hunted.

With a release date of April 27, 2010 it will be a long wait to experience the west.
