Favorite Band/Singer/Genre of Music?

Hey guys! (yay another topic from me!) Recently, I have been poking around at a ton of new artists and genres and I'd loved to hear what all of your favourites are so I can go check them out. Thanks!

I'm into alternative music..new and old. Foo Fighters, Radiohead, New Order, Portishead, and hundreds more. I also like the classic rock bands like, Cheap Trick, Pink Floyd, Rush, Led Zepellin, Rainbow and many others. I like the old Funk bands, Parliment, Gap Band, and a few more that I can't remember at this time. Not a country music fan, although I do like some older country that my Dad used to play. I've always been a big music fan, I've played bass guitar, drums and keyboards when I was in a few bands in my 20's. I can go on and on, but I guess I'll stop here.

Metal, across the spectrum from hard rock to mathcore/extreme death. That said, Blind Guardian is my favorite, and I do listen to lighter stuff like Of Monsters and Men sometimes. I don't listen to grindcore, though. *shiver*
