it would probably be similar to huttball. You run "freely" but the map is small. However, the arcade feeling will still remain since the view of the ship is small and the whole thing is based on the existing space combat.

Not from what I have heard especially if you are in a PVP free fight space area as ships and the larger they are have a wider turning circle that say a single character. I cannot see how a rail system would work if you have to turn and engage, veer back and forth to engage others. Let's see what happens but don't expect your vision of SWG in SWTOR.

that's what I meant by comparing it to huttball or to the aldeeran pvp zone where you have to go to the huge turrets. You can walk and move around all you want, but it is a battle map, not a wide area like a whole planet. However, it would still look like an arcade... you can move freely, but the ship view is still small, probably no cockpit view and no running around inside your ship while the battle happens.

If you can actually get a decent amount of experience from doing Space PvP, this might actually get me to come back to the game.

something tells me this is the time to get legendary status with the republic marines.. or whatever their name is. Right now the only thing you can buy with that level of reputation is that ugly Tirsa champion speeder.

Looks like the space combat is part of a digital expansion pack out in November:

Well if looks like you can customise your starfighter...that'll please some people. :whistling:

yeah I knew about it, but with the ship view being so small, I wonder if it would even make a difference.

ROFL...there's just no pleasing you. If you want a ship where you can change multiple elements, have parties on board then you are playing the wrong game. :lol:

Try...

* Eve online.
* X - Rebirth - part of the X series of games.
* Star Citizen - once it's been developed.
