Where, in the middle east, did Jesus find people named Peter and Matthew and Simon? :dots:

What exactly are your Medical Credentials to enforce this? BTW, my older brother is gay. Has been since the 1980’s. YOU sir, are no expert. I suppose, based on your limited analysis of Hormones, should consider that ‘I’ inherited my Mother’s womb full of Testoserone that my Gay Brother decided to forego. I love sex…but with ‘Women’! Get it?!?

Crater, I think you are exaggerating a bit... he's obviously stating an opinion. How can someone disprove an opinion lol... and sometimes generalizing is just generalizing and there's no point in discussing it. Sometimes it's best to allow people to talk without worrying about sources.

just saying though.... :wheelchair:

A question for anyone daring to answer - If homosexualaity is natural then why didn't evolution just make us all asexual? I just want to see what people think.

Chill the [m'kay] out. You're making this debate way more antagonistic than it needs to be, and you're the only one doing so. Also, edit out your post to remove the cussing.

Jamwin, the thing is evolution isn't always about reproduction. There's a few theories out there saying that, since homosexuality tends to crop up in a lot of different species all over the world, that it might be a sort of control mechanism to keep from overpopulation after a certain limit has been reached. If dudes are [m'kay] dudes and chicks are [m'kay] chicks then exponential growth isn't quite as bad as it would be otherwise. If everyone was [m'kay] everyone though, and babies were popping out left and right and top and bottom, there'd be way too many babies. We would drown in baby poop.

The problem, WD, is that many gay dudes are butch and many lesbians are feminine. It's an incorrect stereotype to think all are the same, but I don't fault you for it. It's a common misconception.

Fine, I'll give it a chance. You might take it better from me than from Crater, but at the same time he's better at explaining things. But this is from a Christian to another Christian. Not that I fault Crater for his beliefs (or lack thereof).

(SWGO)Minas_Thirith wrote:I don't support slavery either, but keep in mind, the old testament was written in days where both morale, customs and manners were different, many of these things just recently(in the past 50 years) changed.

I've heard this many times before. What always occurs me to is 'if moral, customs and manners can change over time in regards to slavery, why can't it for homosexuality?"

As Crater has said, homosexuality passes the only moral test that mat.ters to me; does it hurt anyone? No, homosexuality doesn't hurt anyone. At least not anymore. Let me explain.

Many things in the OT can be seen as guidelines for health safety and for the betterment of our species. A prime example, one wasn't allowed to touch the skin of a pig. Nor eat them for that mat.ter. Neither were we suppose to eat shellfish. This can be seen as God telling us not to eat or touch things that could give us diseases.

Now, what is the issue with homosexuality in regards to the betterment of our species? Reproduction, and that alone. At the time the bible was written, the average human lifespan was quite short compared to now. Reproduction of our species is something God obviously was concerned with. The bible forbids masturbation, contraception, and homosexuality. What are the problems with these things? They do not cause reproduction. They waste time and effort when our species needed to proliferate.

Fast forward 2 thousand years. We are 7 billion strong. We need not concern ourselves with reproduction anymore. If anything, we need to drastically slow down reproduction.

Homosexuality, masturbation, and contraception are no longer an issue. The Catholic Church sees things otherwise, saying it is sinful to use a condom. Which is causing the spread of HIV/AIDS in Africa. We need to adjust our outlook of morality and the bible, and realize how outdated the bible really is.

More importantly, homosexuality isn't a choice. If it was, I doubt people would choose to be part of such a minority, which do not share the same social status or rights as heterosexuals. And for that mat.ter, I can't make myself be attracted to men. I've tried, as part of my spiritual journey to discover if it's right or wrong.

'Misconception'? Based on what evidence? Remember, I’ve seen a lot more of this world than you have, and my older brother is Gay. So try not to BS me.

Don't agree M'kay but interesting thoughts. Wulfman saying "spot on" means that his opinion offers some basis for fact. I wouldn't be so quick to agree just because you believe in homosexuality. Just saying. Who else has a thought?

I love how you ask for evidence, but you offer none other than your own experiences. Which is what I do as well. I'm sure Crater could do me a solid and find some "evidence" for you that not gay doesn't equal feminine, and that lesbian doesn't equal butch.

I've met several homosexual men over the past 4 years, and only about 50% of them were even slightly feminine. I can't recall if I've met any lesbians personally, but I do follow several blogs and other such websites.

Also, I think Crater mentioned something about bisexuality that you never answered.

Time for a quick joke. There are three kinds of lesbians. Butch (masculine) lesbians, lipstick (feminine) lesbians, and then there's the kind of lesbians that only exist in the minds of men. Whom aren't really lesbians, but are just 'adventurous'. *wink* Good friend of mine told me that a few years ago, but it does hold truth in it.

I don't even know what you're trying to say here. "Spot on" was my way of succinctly agreeing with what Narg said. Which, incidentally, was covered in the rest of my post.

But since you asked, it's rum. Although I haven't drunk any of it in a week.

I wasn't "quick" to agree. I was already writing a long post of a similar line when Narg (M'kay) posted that. I was just glad to see him thinking intelligently (as he does when he wants to) and I just voiced my agreement with his post.

Absolutely wrong. But how do you know it's wrong? You assume it's wrong, I assume it's right. Between most gay men's Lisping, limp wristed body language/posture, feminine squeaky voices and overly emotional drama in how they converse or get excited over stuff screaming like women, it's hard to think otherwise. It's all over TV now. They know anything and everything about fashion for women more than men's fashion! Reality TV shows like Rupal's drag race features gays dressing like women and really feeling comfortable in their skin being as feminine as possible.

Homosexual men are attracted to other men, regardless if the other man is also homosexual or not. Ever see a homosexual guy trying to pick up a heterosexual guy and getting rejected? It defeats the purpose of being homosexual if a man is attracted to another man who is so keen on wanting to be/wishing he were a member of the opposite sex. Might as well be attracted to women, then. As [m'kay] had pointed out, gender identity is independent of sexual orientation, as there are cases of transgendered individuals who are attracted to members of the sex they had transitioned to.
