I myself have seen the video, and I reacted to it like any normal person would when I first saw it. Of course, I changed my profile picture on FaceBook to that of a Stop Kony picture. Now, reading current things about Kony 2012 that have surfaced, I have since taken it down and removed my affiliation with the cause for multiple reasons. The company sponsoring this movement itself is VERY flimsy and mysterious, Invisible Children, apparently only put 30% of it's earnings last year into 'Direct Funding' for causes. Direct Funding as in giving it to the government, which many see a problem in. The Uganda government has been accused of raping, killing, and just other violent acts repeatdly, and there is even a picture with the founders of Invisible Children posing with the Military holding weapons. This is where alot of people find fault, they are just trying to use violence to end this. Yes, many children have been killed, but Kony actually might already be dead. He many have been dead for a couple of years now, actually. The LRA (group Kony Started) has actually moved out of Uganda, and many people believe promoting the cause in Uganda might lead to more violence in Uganda, just as they were able to sit back and be relived.
That is just my opinon, as my earlier opinon was swayed greatly by this post. http://pomee.tumblr.com/post/1889960176 ... -than-good
