Shut the [m'kay] up, kid. It's clear by the wording you're using that you aren't using this as a fight against Obama, you're using it as a way to fight against the "liberals". Thanks for being the proof that the upcoming generation isn't going to look at anything other than red or blue and base all their opinions off that. You are, quite literally, emblematic of the reason I couldn't give the tiniest [poo] about politics anymore. Great job, sport!

You're kinda right...It's not just about Obama, it's about liberals in general. I'm not basing my opinions off of the republicans or democrats or anything; what I'm using is simple deduction.

I'm not trying to convince Crater to be a Republican: just not to believe everything that the media says, and to think a little bit when analyzing politics.

Upcoming generation? Really? People already vote on party lines. The reason that you all are so taken back by my views on things is because I don't just believe what the media wants me to, I actually know what is going on, and that being "political" (no pun intended) is not going to solve the problems confronting this nation.

You are, quite literally, emblematic of the reason why politicians are able to take advantage of and lie to everyone: you just have no damn clue what is going on in the world.

As MC's signature reads: "Collective apathy, ignorance, and self-imposed denial....marches this culture to annihilation"

Both you and quite a few other people might learn something from that.

I appreciate the fact that everyone is entitled to his or her opinion...notice that I haven't said that Crater is an idiot cause he isn't: he's actually very smart, but a victim of a common phenomenon in today's world.

Whatever happened, whether it were a spontaneous attack caused by enraged protesters, a scheduled organized terrorist attack, or even both, four Americans were killed in the end. Four lives gone. Just because you didn't know them personally, it doesn't give you the right to be inconsiderate and use their deaths to score political points, Pi. I'm referring to you specifically because you created this topic.

From the looks of it, yes, it is, because that's exactly what you're doing there. Crater was merely using a hypothetical analogous example of hate speech, whereas you dived in head first to make race an issue.

He does seem to not be able to make up his mind on his own stances at times.

If it causes the targeted group for which it was intended to become angry and violent, then it is hate speech.

I'm not scoring political points. I'm discussing a 1 month old issue. Yes, Romney did try to score political points by criticizing Obama's reaction hours after it happened, but that's kinda said and done. I never accused Crater of being a racist, he was the one who brought it up in regard to me. I had only said that the things said in the video were accurate according the Islamic religion, but still, they were inflammatory. He then implied (and kinda said) that I support the creation of the video.

I know. I read all of the posts made in this topic before posting. I wasn't implying that you accused Crater of being a racist. I was implying that when you wrote:
3.14pi wrote:If someone couldn't be convinced to vote for Obama in 2008, he/she must have been a racist.

That that very sentence fulfilled:
3.14pi wrote:That's always the last resort when someone can't make their case, right? Racism/prejudice.

But I knew you were actually referring to:
Darth Crater wrote:It's like looking at a KKK propaganda release and saying "they're right, blacks have the highest prison population".

Which I thought was just a simple example to represent how you view the content of the anti-Muslim video. And yes, I know you don't support that video in anyway; you just think its contents are accurate but at the same time offensive to Muslims.

I don't know whether they're accurate or not TBH. Just that they are according the Koran and other texts of Islam.

I was being sarcastic when I said "If someone couldn't be convinced to vote for Obama in 2008, he/she must have been a racist," which I think you picked up on.

Ah yes, i'm sorry, you're not calling people idiots, you're just talking down to them because you're an ego-tripping twelve year old who's a bit smarter than his age group. Congratulations, you're king of [poo] mountain! "Ooohoohoo, it's simple deduction, that means that i'm 100% correct because this is the way the world looks inside of my enormous sphincter." Don't put words in our mouths. We aren't "taken aback" by your opinions because they're so advanced, you egotistic little twerp. We're annoyed because you're trying to say racism is okay because "well it's true y'know!" We're annoyed because you're spouting off your views like you actually have experience within the world. We're annoyed because you can't seem to express yourself without a thick layer of pedantry and self-importance. We're annoyed because you come in here and start talking [poo] to some of the smartest people on this forum, acting like Crater's a "victim" when I have never seen arguments as well constructed and backed-up as his. I may not consider it worthwhile to post such arguments on a forum about a Star Wars video game, but hell if I haven't seen him list sources for damn near every important point he makes.

Crater's a victim of "a common phenomenon", yeah? And what precisely makes you so high above this? Is it because you sit there poring over news sites, thinking over issues that you have absolutely no input on because you can't even vote yet, while your peers are going out learning how to live their lives? Has it occurred to you yet that if you actually want to make a difference, you have to be really, really adept at social interaction? And i'm not talking having some friends, i'm saying you have to be able to manipulate people like it's the most natural thing in the world, that you have to be able to convince people you're telling the truth even when you're lying your goddamn ass off. And if you don't do that? Then all your research, all your discussion, every single impassioned point you make... adds up to the same exact vote as any random jackoff on the street. If you don't get into politics yourself, your vote means exactly as much as some meth addict who managed to drag themselves to a polling booth. So here's my advice. Check your ego, or make it grow so goddamn large that you see the people around you as ants. Then you can get into politics. And then you can be president someday, if you work hard enough. Then you can really make a difference!

But you won't. Because those who have what it takes to be President, don't have what it takes to be a good one.

I'm really not dignifying this with a response, but calm down lol. And I didn't talk [poo] to anyone: that is what you are doing.

Having a heated debate with someone is not insulting them...I am perfectly respectful of Crater's opinion, I just don't see its merit.

If you're not gonna say anything related to the topic, then create your own thread to rant in.

The administration covered up the bungling of this entire situation without a doubt. Obama and his team are in over their heads and it's obvious to most Americans and Europeans and worst of all, Putin. (But that's a whole other thread)

What I'm trying to figure out is why Kjep is being called a racist and cussed at. I've read this thing twice, on my phone unfortunately, and I'm just not getting it.

Cause they are damn insane MD.

It's always how liberals are: people who don't agree with them never have legitimate reason to disagree, they're just racists.

They are trying to say that I'm a racist because I said that the content of the video is accurate according to Islam, however, I also said that it is still offensive and should not have been released.
