I said the bible is NOT a science book, but in scientific areas is does not conflict. which was my point. Put things into context.
And yes circle of the earth is valid, this was written a good 1000+ before other people dispelled that the earth was flat.

What about the other things the Bible talks about? Example is sacrificing animals and performing rituals to heal someone.
Isn't that considered pick and choose as well? There are many things that the Bible says that conflicts with modern Medicine and Science, yet many ignore them and only mention those that support the idea that Science and the Bible go hand in hand.

I do think there might be a few thousands of years missing there.
But what i did noticed is that humans have stopped inventing, of course since i anticipate a certain facepalm response, ill already respond that all the "inventions" are based on old inventions.

You may be surprised how fast technology and science is growing. As an example: the computers' capability is increasing at an exponential rate, enabling us to perform simulations and calculations that would be impossible to do with just human knowledge.
Inventions are still being performed. Examples: Nanotubes, Drugs (Medicine), Chemicals, Materials etc.
I think we're coming to a time where efficiency will be a big driving force in development and research for the next few decades. (Increased fuel efficiency, efficient energy production, efficient consumption etc.)

I wouldn't necessarily say that it was 1000 years, but still a considerable amount of time. We cannot really say how everything would be if this and that did or didn't happen. It happened and we have to make the best of it of what we have now and strive for a better future (regardless of people's views).

Sorry, I just put a new personal rule into effect. No debates with creationists. You can't listen to reason, facts, or common sense. If I were to be debating with you, I would take away valuable time from my life. Like working with my team on one of my many mods, or studying Japanese, or watching the grass grow.

Most scientists agree that the proper term is: Us humans and apes (currently) are descendants from a common ancestor (which happened to be apes as well).

You ought to read it again, the bible states that people had to sacrifice animals to be forgiven of their sins in the OT, since humans had sined they had to pay the consequenses as we see today, the animal sacrificing stopped when jesus in the bible died, the bible discribes him as being without sin, so the fact adam a perfect human had sined was repaid with Jesus death, then the NT came and as well as not eating some animals the sacrificing stopped from there as Jesus was the sacrifice.
