Rosenbergs were selling out our country to a foreign nation.
Snowden sold out the government to the people it is supposed to represent. There is a HUGE difference there.

you have a point. But we don't know if those were their intentions. Note that Snowden wants to go to Ecuador, Cuba or Venezuela (all countries against freedom of speech) to see if they are interested in buying his info. He wanted to sell it to the chinese or the russians first, but they declined because of U.S pressure. Maybe you are right, but if he really wanted to help the american people to be more free, I don't think offering the info to the Chinese or Russian government would be the way of doing it.

if he really wanted to help the people, he would set an example in every country he is in. Giving information belonging to the U.S to dictatorships (which are against the people) doesn't seem to be very moral from Snowden's part. In other words, he didn't sell it to the american people. He is selling it to dictatorships.

Of course, I don't think he should have the same fate as the rosenbergs... but I want to point out with that comment that his actions are grave.

Is he actually offering them anything? I thought he was just seeking asylum. Somewhere that won't turn him over to the US for the illegal leaking of information. (I'm glad he shed light on the continuing abuses of the Patriot Act, but it's still illegal.)

I think the Russians and the Chinese knew that the US government was doing this, considering they are doing it to their own citizens. They just didn't realize the scope of it and technical aspects behind it. Snowden had nothing new for them, just confirmation of what they already had intel on. The only people that were blind sided by this leak were the American people. And with time, unfortunately, these same citizens will forget about it and keep putting these morons in office.

That's because a majority of American People are generally 'stupid' and 'ignorant'. After all, look at the goat they re-elected to the White House last year. Every swinging time he screws up, he gives some stupid speech or points fingers. Zombies...we're surrounded by them!

Snowden has offered (through his father) to come back and stand trial, but with certain conditions:
1) he is not detained
2) he picks the trial venue
3) no gag order

White house responds with, "hey look everyone, Obama is going to Africa!"

New controversy...United States caught spying on it's allies in the European Union. Obama has some explaining to do.

Like THEY don't spy on us?! Lol! When I was in Moscow, my hotel room was so damn teched-up, I was getting a headache from all the signal propagation. Our cellphones were already compromised the moment we walked into the hotel. Countries 'spy' on other countries. It's expected.

Rofl, EU talking about sanctions like they're in any economic position to impose sanctions on anybody. Europe's been either stagnant or slumping for like the past 6 quarters. Eurozone unemployment hit 12.2% or something like that as of the beginning of June. Also, I think the fact that this has caused diplomatic damage to the nation is grounds to shoot him. If you keep letting them get off willy nilly, how can you expect people to stop leaking? :*(
[04:25] -SR-Mandalore: who pitches and who catches
[04:29] (SWGO)SWINE*FLU: We'll do it in turns.
[04:30] -SR-Mandalore: That sounds super fair
[04:30] -SR-Mandalore: Do you think other gay couples do that?
[04:30] (SWGO)SWINE*FLU: I reckon so.
