My Dad used to. But in the 1960s, he sold it.

Far enough for soldiers to get waxed by these things. Guess it depended on the size of the cannon.

Yeah...it's sad. But I wasn't old enough at the time to know the value of it all. I guess he needed the cash. Can't blame him. I know my Dad and Mom loved History and woulda kept it if they could. Got passed down some awesome stuff including a mint condition 1831 Harpers Ferry shotgun used by the Confederates, and a 1863 Springfield used by the Yanks. Both in perfect condition, all original and both fire able.

when I start making money again, after college, i'll buy a Ford Model T and a Boater (hat), and drive it on sunday mornings during the summer. That's if I don't become a slave of the bank when I get out.

I built a cannon that would have shot it. I originally built it for paintball, but found that black powder just made all the paintballs explode and shoot like a shotgun. Unfortunately I built and shot it too close to a business after 9/11 and the police confiscated it. I made all the employees take cover in the basement.
