If the story is true, though, and martin did attack Zimmerman then it was not injustice he suffered but the consequence of his own bad decision.

Apparently I came off as mad, truthfully this is about as unimportant a case of alleged murder as you can get. As far as I see, the fact he followed then got out of the car without any engagement by Trayvon proves intent to engage. But like I said without any concrete evidence there's no way second degree murder was going to chine out of it. And I said in my previous post that without stand your ground, manslaughter would have been a lot easier to get a conviction with.

[04:30] (SWGO)SWINE*FLU: I reckon so.

This again WD? Are you really trying to politicize this as well?
Let's just focus on the subject and the trial/case.

In WD's defense, this has been a political issue from day one. Seeing as the president brought up gun control again when the verdict was released, and many other politicians were and are currently involved in this, I don't see how you can limit the discussion.

Thank you! Bryant 'gets it!' The prosecution's BS case trying to hammer Zimmerman with a case that should NEVER have come to trial just to appease the Black Community is very politicized. AND Obama saying 'The Jury has decided' while tongue-in-cheek still sicking the DOJ after Zimmerman after the FBI has already concluded that their is NO RACISM on Zimmerman's part, is very Politicized. And Yan that's why I brought the Black Panthers up (just an example). Seems trying to prosecute for Racisim is only applicable when it suits them...It's all about Politics...not the Letter of the Law.
haasd0gg wrote:WD, I'd rather leave the whole neighborhood watch thing out of it, as it really has no bearing in this case.

No 'bearing' huh? Let me explain something here...It's the whole damn reason he was face to face with Martin in the first place Haas! It's his first defense. If he wasn't on 'neighborhood watch', Zimmerman's ass would have been toast! Because then he would have been labeled as seeking some random black guy to go shoot, and going out of his way to do it for no good reason! No alibi for even being there. That means 'Pre-meditated'! That means 1st degree Murder....NOT 2nd Degree which is not pre-meditated. And he most definitely would have been convicted on that 'bearing' alone.

And thank you Otto for understanding my rant. Sorry I'm so passionate about all this.

I get what you're saying, WD. I'm just pointing out that he might as well have been captain of a boat because neither would, by law, grant any special rights or require certain action be taken.
I don't mean to come off as cold, I think the whole incident is unfortunate. I wouldn't want to know what its like to kill a person and I doubt this guy did either. He has to live with that. Trayvons consequence is a bit more obvious.

HLN is a silly joke. They have zero credibility.
