No, because 3/4 of the budget consists of spending that nobody has to balls to cut, such as Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and SNAP. Do you realize that by 2040 entitlement spending will outweigh our revenue, virtually bankrupting the government? That's the real issue. Not a couple billion dollars being spent here and there on law enforcement and scientific research. Yet nobody seems to grasp this concept, and instead whine and complain about the little things that amount to nothing.

And Panama, since when does being a part of the lower-middle class automatically make you an expert in the fields of government and macroeconomics?

Ok.

When does being an 18 year old make you an expert in the fields of government and macroeconomics? You can learn everything you want to in a classroom but that gives you very little knowledge of how the world actually works. It takes years or life experience and a somewhat high I.Q., one of which you don't have. This was originally about guns and whether or not we should have them.

Lets stick to that.

Sorry, I didn't realize that you all had extensive experience as government officials and economists. I'll take all my knowledge from my multiple classes on the subjects where I got the highest marks and shut up.

Cut them all dude. It's all wealth redistribution as far as I'm concerned (though I would save medicare for last). But I believe this thread was about guns and gun control.

I agree. I'll stop going off topic as long as others stop talking about government spending as well, otherwise I'll be tempted to continue my ranting.

Government spending was a very small part of my response to this thread. But I digress.

Of course it will...I mean, who else is gonna take care of the lazy asses on welfare who have enjoyed the free money and other free perks government has given them all these years? Pop out another kid...more free money! And lets not forget the Illegal Mexicans coming accross the border for their free [poo] too! Pop a kid out...instant 'Anchor baby' and no deportation. They'll be sure to vote Democrat to help keep that free [poo] coming! :punk:

Buy a bunch of guns and ammo and practice your aim folks. If Obama gets another 4 years, you may be using them sooner than you think! :gunsmilie:

First of all, you are a pretentious snob. How dare you make make an assumption of my social status? Have we ever hung out? Have you ever stepped a foot in my home? I should have known what kind of person you are with that Harvard avatar. As for me being an expert....I guarantee you that I have more intelligence in "real world situations" than you. Life lessons are more valuable than anything you have read in text books. All I'm going to say to you is, get ready.....Life, (and perhaps, people) is going to kick your ass in the near future. Learn how to be humble. Now I know why Narg hates you, you just say whatever you want without thinking. New York City is going to eat you alive.

Read my private message.

Anyways, back on topic. Just food for thought, but the 2nd amendment was written in a very different time period. Weaponry, culture, and population size have all changed drastically. Isn't gun control just a method to modernize the outdated concept of total "right to bear arms?"
