You know, the stupid bickering between the parties needs to stop. We have to spend LESS than we take in PERIOD! We have to spend smarter. This isn't freaking Rocket Science! Damn congress is more concerned about shoveling pork barrel money to their constituents, instead of simply 'doing the right thing'.
Read up on an interview Donald Trump had recently on his jet. Its hilarious, but he brings up some solid viewpoints that impressed me. I'm switching from Republican to independent for voter registration. At this moment in financial turmoil, we need a strong, proven man as our leader who 'understands' business and leadership. Obama understands nothing. He's weak, ignorant and is America's Big Mistake. My opinion of course.

This really should be asked as "who do you think deserves the MOST blame" because practically speaking the correct answer is that all members of both houses of congress (democrats and republicans) are to blame. The reason the government shutdown occurs is because a funding bill/budget failed to be passed. Obama is not capable of making that happen as neither you, I, or the "Tea Party" or anybody else that isn't a member of congress. We can all exert pressure and wag our tongues about it all we want (as Obama, Tea Party, etc...can do also). However, the shutdown is due to failure to pass a (any) spending bill...plain and simple.
Personally I think the Democrats have the majority of the blame, since the failure started when they controlled both houses and the presidency and failed to pass a budget. The failure clearly has continued now that republicans control the House of Representatives.

Why aren't progressives on the list?
And to add a little context to the amounts they are bickering about: the republicans are proposing spending cuts that amounts to less than 1 percent of the total deficit. It is a step in the right direction, but minuscule for what is needed.

there is no single culprit. They're all to blame By picking three, you cover all the bases. Equal rights, equal budget, equal voting is all a sham. Equality simply doesn't exist. The real societal engine is the greenback. And as long as there is someone around to want more, things will stay pretty much the same. I'm going back outside now to try and grow some on a tree...

Everyone is to blame, the Dems for spending money that does help create jobs or keep jobs, the Repubs for drag their feet at having an opinion on anything, Obama for [m'kay] around with this war longer than necessary, and the populace for voting these idiots to power, then complaining when [poo] doesn't get done, then re-electing the same person.
The checks and balances we all learned about in grade school aren't working anymore. They only work when people are working against each other, not when they're working together.
