WD you sould look at the small letters:

Grade: A
(faster then 87% of the US)

I think for the USA there is faster internet then that, i think Matt's is perfect, but to be all honest that conection is very good, especially from a laptop

From Malaysia to Chicago.. sometimes I wonder how I even get first place in JBA. It might just be luck ^^

Heh. Imagine how I'd play with 0 lag.

LOL!..That IS amazing 38. Well, if my connection is considered good and Grade A as MT mentioned (with Verizon FIOS, it 'should' be near perfect  ), I guess my Lag issues are several things:

1) The server. We just had multiple 'Signal Loss' spikes (That signal icon in the lower right screen) which froze me, threw me around, and at one point on Polis Massa, as I threw a mine down on a CP light, I suddenly, got slung into the window. Of course, my mine was now pasted half-way up on the window, which was useless….Nice wall hanging decoration though. Some player who saw that later, probably thought I didn't know what the heck I was doing, or was just screwing around. The Signal issue happened over multiple maps again last night, along with hits not doing any damage…not just me. Many players complained.

2) Graphics card overheating, especially after intense, explosive rounds. Also, it may not be able to handle playing at peak performance with, say, over 20 players.

3) RAM filling up. Anyone know how to increase RAM on a Laptop thru adjustments? Say to increse the amount it uses, versus installing a new card?

4) As you mention, it's a Laptop. :-| But I'm a 'travelin man'. I don't even attempt playing at Hotels anymore. Their WiFi is 'FUBAR'.

Generally, having upload speed the same as your download speed means that it's a good plan for internet services.

But then again, normal download speeds (especially with Comcast) are usually higher than the upload speed.

From a wireless laptop, having around 12 - 20 ms of ping is normal. Ethernet cables normally have 4 - 10 ms of ping.

I have direct connection via my router with 1gbps port. My download speed is around 30 MB/s, while upload is only 2 MB/s.

However, it is ultimately relying on your ISP plan. Their servers control the download limit and upload limit.
