RIP Ralph McQuarrie

Postby Yanoda » Mon Mar 05, 2012 1:00 pm

It is sad news today that Ralph McQuarrie - the designer of Vader's Mask, R2-D2, C-3PO and other characters has passed away.

Thank you for being a part in making Darth Vader one of the most memorable Characters in Movie History.

You shall be missed.

Cheers

Respects Paid. Thanks Mr. McQuarrie - for helping to make Star Wars what it is.

I almost cried when I found out. Ralph, along with Timothy Zahn, made me into the Star Wars fanatic I am today. :ugeek:

Without him, Star Wars would probably have looked terrible.

Rest in peace you magnificent bastard. (It's a joke/compliment coming from me, so no one get their panties in a knot for calling him a bastard)

He and others were 'so-key' to the success of Star Wars, and bringing Lucas' story to life. A sad day. :-|
