I don't how many of you saw this in the news this morning but there was a shooting at a movie theater in Aurora, Co at the Batman premier. This theater is 5 minutes from my home and I had friends that had gone to that showing. At least 12 people were killed and 50 wounded so far. No one I know personally was injured or killed but at least one friend of a friend was injured. My community is devastated and this really is hitting home with me because of the Columbine shooting years ago where kids that I mentored where there and one of my band members niece was killed. I'm just asking that you all please keep this situation in your thoughts and prayers. I'd appreciate it.

My thoughts and prayers are with you jamwin. I can relate slightly and I know how much it sucks. I walked by US rep. Gabby GIffords 2 minutes before she was shot as well as 6 others killed at my neighborhood safeway last January. I hope that time will help to ease your pain.

This is just awful. Prayers go out to all the victims and families. And yet this will inevitably turn into a political issue. My girlfriend is somewhere around Denver right now visiting family and a week ago she said she was planning on going to the Dark Knight opening night, but when I talked to her last night said she felt tired so didn't go last night. I looked up the address she was staying and the theater where the shooting was is one of the closest to her... I got chills man...

Take care man, it's so unfortunate how many maniacs are out there. The news report I read said it was a 6 year old who was injured. Doesn't make it any less horrible but hopefully the child survives. I guess that :censored: also booby trapped his house.

Prayers are with you all out there Jam. It's so sad. Why cant these [derriere orifice] murderers just shoot themselves instead of destroying the lives of others?
