Re: The God Damned Gun Control Thread

Nite unfortunately this is typical of our society and our government. My thoughts is that the campus police were afraid to act on the information due to fear of being sued by Holmes in the event that they did come up empty and he was only spewing out hateful things. So unfortunately they were willing to take the risk. What is angering me right now is that Holmes defense team wanted to plead guilty but the prosecution said no because they want him to get the death penalty. I'm all for the death penalty personally but for once this is a open shut case and he needs to just go to jail the rest of his life and save the tax payers money for the cost of the prosecution but now even more money is going to be spent because of the prosecution and if they do win and get him on death row it's going to cost the taxpayers even more because there's going to be tons of appeals. The other thing that is happening here in Colorado is that Governor Hickenlooper is trying to find a loop hole to allow the Secret Service to arrest elected Sheriff's who won't comply or enforce the recently passed gun laws that violate the 2nd Amendment. Can you say Police State? So now he wants to arrest these people and take them off the streets from protecting the public. Who's going to protect the public then if he does that? These guns laws are nothing more than pandering to a minority group of people in hopes of more votes. If a majority of people truly support all this gun legislation then someone tell me why that not a single gun store can keep any inventory? We have a small group of people slowing taking away the rights of the majority and yet it seems the population is ok with this.
