I know you're being sarcastic, but you actually did legitimately answer the question so I guess i'm a little confused?

I'll take the bait....
Any semi automatic weapon which can fire more than 11 rounds without reloading.

I was going to say a fully automatic machine gun, but after reading MC's post I think his answer is more accurate. Of course if you took the word "assault weapon" as verbatim, that would basically mean something that can harm another person.
I'll let someone else start the fire...
