Fun facts about Milwaukee and Wisconsin.
The first typewriter came from Milwaukee.
Milwaukee is known as "Brew city", due to the many breweries it once had. Pabst, Schlitz, Miller, Blatz to name a few. It's also called the "Cream city" for the color of the bricks.
Wisconsin was the first to make a 4x4 vehicle (gasoline engines too, for that
er) the snowmobile, the outboard motor for boats, the speedometer, clothes dryer, vacuum cleaner, kindergarten, hair dryer, answering machine, Hydroelectric power, and last but not least.. the Republican Party.
Milwaukee is also home to Summerfest, the world's biggest music festival.
