Sup,
Thought I'd show y'all a little bit about what I do for fun...
I build chain maille armor, and other chain maille objects. (And my apologies, the purpose of this topic is not to try to sell my crap, it's for educational purposes only)
This is my current project: a chain maille bullwhip. It's currently just under 3 feet long, and I just started it (and learned the weave [pattern] yesterday)
Sorry for the relatively low quality of the image....
I'm building it in three parts: the body, the end of the whip, and the handle. The whip will not be crack-able, since, to cause the whip to crack, the end must have a cracker (sorry, that's a technical term, not trying to sound racist ), and the whip (and the cracker) must travel past the speed of sound. The rings in the whip, which are 3/8 inch 14 gauge aluminum, cannot handle the stress of rapid acceleration/deceleration, and would fly apart rather quickly. This is a close-up of the rings:
"+1" if you think it's cool.
