chat symbols

Postby CommanderOtto » Sun Feb 23, 2014 4:11 am

does anybody know how I can type these symbols in in-game chat? For example:

☺☻☻♥♦♣♠§◘○◙♀▼♫☼♂♀πΦΩφ

I know it's possible because I just saw someone write "♫" in chat. Anyone know how I can do that? And I noticed there is a player that can add these symbols to his name, but how?

You can cut and paste I think.

Or they are chat hacking with an external program XD.

I tried to generate those symbols but I couldn't. On a side note, I found the following cool things attached.

Edit: Someone probably changed their keyboard to some non-standard language to make them.

Changing keyboard language doesn't work, at least for me. Neither do Alt codes. For example, I saw someone typing umlauts (äëïöüÿ) in-game yesterday, but my Swedish keyboard won't let me do that. Very annoying

alt + random keypad numbers generates symbols, idk if they work ingame. also, putting symbols in your name might be possible with gamespy, but idk for sure.

lol antho, thanks, but I had already found that list  However, my question is how I can use those in in-game chat. I tried writing them there and it didn't work. I also tried using them for writing a new name, but it didn't work either

Well, if the game client doesn't let you, then they are either memory hacking the game or sending packets from an external program, so I'm guessing the client let's you somehow.

I remember an old cheat that if you changed the language to German, it would let you do the "noname" hack by using a symbol that appeared blank, so maybe that's it.
