“The Tunisian town of Tataouine – used by George Lucas as the Star Wars planet Tatooine – is now being used as a base for Isis fighters to cross into Libya”.

Hopefully they don’t do here what they did to ancient relics in Syria – destroy it with sledgehammers because it’s considered “blasphemous” and/or a “false idol”.

Apparently it’s been quite a popular destination for star wars fans over the years – I was wondering whether any of us here has ever been there? Who knows, you may be one of the last people to see this set in person. :-|

FYI, this story was retracted two days later. Three people were arrested traveling though the town of Tataouine (which inspired the planet's name), trying to join terrorists in Libya. The Star Wars sets remain untouched.
