Same way you prevent drunk people from screwing things up, I suppose.
And I didn't watch the video, but I agree with the general sentiment in this thread.

The pot argument is virtually the same as booze or guns. Yes, people should have access to whatever they want. They should also be accountable for all their actions all the time.
"I was drunk" has never held water with me.

With booze, you can check BAC. Blow a 0.08 or bigger and you are legally drunk. How do you determine legally "high"?

In most states they can arrest you for being on RX meds if they are shown to impair your ability to drive a car. I'm sure they can figure something out..

Maybe they should figure that out before legalizing it. Second, how long does it affect people?

Well, my wife's 1st husband was killed by a driver high on pot. They figure he hadn't had any for a couple of hours before hand. However, I'm not sure how much he had.

You could smoke an eighth of an ounce yourself and still be sobered up in 2hrs. Especially if you give in to the munchies. I would be very curious to know how the determined he was high at the time of the accident.

From my understanding it was from what he said and a few other accounts of his buddies... (who were smoking it with him)

Just because he had smoked doesn't mean he was still high. I'm sure that being impaired, he was offered to plead ato a lesser charge than what he might have faced otherwise.
I could be totally wrong, but Im pretty sure I smell some bull [poo]

Well, a clipping of someones hair and a uninalysis are two ways to test for 'positive' consumption of the wacky weed. However, the exact amount of what is actually 'legal' if there ever is such a limit, I'm not so sure it's that sophisticated yet.
