blocksprint/wallriding tricks

Postby Mace Hindu » Sun Jun 13, 2010 5:32 am

a video of my most used blocksprint and wall riding moves
they appear simple but make your kill/death ratio a lot better both in force and no force because you now dont have to jjump to these places and make it easier to get backslashed and you become far faster chasing/closing down on your opponent than they expect
all of these tricks are worth learning.
there are quite a few more i use with obi but it was to hard to do them when my already crap gameplay on a notebook was made worse by running fraps
three of the clips flicker but you can still see, the rest are fine
anyway enjoy

You do get that you're exposed to every force power except choke while performing these, right?

*Edit. Anyway, nice video, despite what I said to begin with.

koko this is designed for noobs and people who have been too lazy to experiment with bls and wr.
@ corpse its a lot harder for an opponent to force your if your curving through the airpast them than if your completely vulnerable from jumping through the air to try reach them

Not if you're a puller standing way back.

For the record, block sprinting or slow running is not allowed on SWGO servers and is rightly considered cheating in competition.
I don't think it's worth learning.

blocksprint isnt allowed at SWGO!?!?! i see it done all the time, just not slow run.
blocksprint is allowed in gwl but only in block on because as the name suggests, block is used in it.

@ corpse still harder to hit than someone jumping
and remember corpse this is just an extra thing for forcers, but mainly designed for those who play no force

My tactics for both modes involve ignoring people who refuse to come down and play with me. If they want me to come up there so they have an advantage because they're scared to fight me normally, then I don't want to play with them. I look forward to pulling you whenever you try to do any of those fancy tricks on me.

Nice video! I know most of these but I don't really play vader much so those don't help me.
Do you need to dash attack to get up on any of those? dash by itself works fine right?
What is block sprint? I've probably encountered it but didn't know its name?

Cmoon Matt, the only reason to forbid the use of slow run is because it goes around choke. Maybe it lags the server somehow but thats just a speculation.
I don't like blockrun abusers just as I don't like any other abusers.... CB, CD, bs... 180 turns, mash... pull, push... its just unfunny to play someone who repeats same move all the time...
But from all types of abusers the CBers and assfighters are the worst.

PS: I was called null noob sometimes...
