Aliens (1986)

It's a great movie, lots of action, good acting, and it has a great story. It's a sequel to Alien, although it's not really necessary to watch the first one, but I'd watch it anyway, it's pretty damn good. R

The Shawshank Redemption (arguably Morgan Freeman's best film). Oh and Al Pacino's speech in Any given Sunday. Can't think of any other obvious ones.

Hmm.. how about Pulp Fiction ( i could really go for a $5 milkshake right about now, and a Royale with Cheese).. loved Shaun of the Dead.. if you want a girly movie for the wife Dan in Real Life was good, even I could sit thru it and not puke.. Resident Evil movies were good, mainly for Milla though ;) they also did a good job of using the game as a plot and yet still kept it somewhat it's own thing.. LOTR did a good job bringing the books to life, although I can't stand Elijah Wood and this little baby teeth
