NTVDM.EXE has stopped working...

Hello, I'm trying to install Sim Copter(mainly for memories sake) on Windows Vista 32 bit. Each time I attempt to install the game, I encounter a message stating that NTVDM.EXE has stopped working. I've been looking up how to fix it but to no success. Also, I have asked a friend about it and he said that there is a batch file(I think...) that fixes NNTVDM. Please help me.
