It says he passed away from some illness, truthfully I don't think it matters why only that he did.

Sam, let me be as politic as I can be in regards to your question and your apparent lack of respect. I know you like to poke at people just for the sake of doing it, but this is neither the time, nor the place for it. If you have no condolences to be offered, then your comments are not welcome here. Out of respect for Dad and his son, I will ask you not to comment any further on this thread.

I do not know what to say, since I cannot imagine what you are going through. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this hardest of times.

We're here if you need us

This is neither the time nor the place to be curious about such things, and certainly not to press the issue. If you have no condolences to be offered, kindly get the [m'kay] out. It shows what kind of person you are that this is the first thing to come out of your mouth.

Dad, I know that there's no way I can understand what you're going through. I might have lost my mother when I was younger, and that may allow me to understand a slight bit, but I know that the gap between losing a mother and losing a child is insurmountable. I can only hope that your family has the strength to make it through the coming days, and that your heart may have a chance to heal someday. I am currently looking to get a job, and I have decided to devote my first three months of paychecks to the charity mentioned in the original post. Good luck to you and your family.

Sorry for your loss Dad. Losing a child is one of those things that parents fear. I cannot imagine what you are going through.

I am quite sorry for your loss. As many others have said before me, I can't even begin to imagine how bad you're feeling. Hopefully your family will encourage you through this tough time, and in turn, you will also encourage them through this. Losing someone you love is very hard, and I am sure that we all want to make you feel better about this. Remember that your son was loved by many people, and that he had a good life with you and the rest of your family. I think I speak for all of the community when I say that we will be here if you need us.
