Here is a video of someone using an aimbot to take people out from the entire other side of the map.

Clever. This demo lets EA profile the cheating code and ban some particularly stupid people before the game even launches.

I figured as much...:/ This is 'precisely' a big reason why we need individual 'controlled' servers. Keep the cheating [poo] bags off.

Other than the ATAT drivers, may also explain the high scores. Many are far better than me (and I suck), playing Battlefield games in their past im sure.
But I became certain people were cheating today. Several were on today as emps sniping that way making Impossible shots on Hoth.
I also am certain there are players in same room playing or hooked up on headsets coordinating on the ground and with fighters. No sooner we pin down the snipers from an opposing ridge, a fighter singles us out and takes us out. They knew exactly where to look too.
I wonder how many 'game programmers for BF3' were on using cheat codes just for fun...
If they can keep the cheat software from working in the actual release, that would level the playing field and make it far more fun. I hope they can auto ban the cheaters using code outside the game's authorization. I wouldn't mind a longer loading time if they could do that.

Yeah, I noticed FAIRPLAY banning several people per match.

I'm sure that a game this big and hyped about will have sufficient security.

I hope.

Well, driving home i got to thinking that 'Fairplay', if he was indeed truly banning like i was seeing as well, then they have trusted people viewing players just as an Admin would. Chances are, that they put the Beta out and extended a couple days for the purpose of, not just finding and documenting cheaters, but more importantly, finding exactly what cheats or hacks they use (ie the Aim Bot) and any other weaknesses or security code flaws the game has and patch it before the Official Release.

Afterall, they put $millions into the development, and it would be financially wise to protect your product and keep 'the scum' from ruining potential sales. The banning was likely the 'message' to those that cheat, not to do it, but also to the fair/fun players, that the developers are taking it seriously to minimize bad reviews about it.

Spoke to a computer geek guy i know getting a laptop repaired and told him about Beta cheaters on BF3, and he said Beta's are soo easy to hack and exploit given how they are accessed, but that the Game itself, when released, will have much better protections. Guess we will see, as i am convinced that the 'aim bot' was a huge exploit on the beta.
