I am looking forward to downloading and playing the Battle of Jakku tomorrow. (If I can figure out how to download it.) Did anyone else pre-order the game and plan to play these maps a week early?

Nope, I'll be waiting the extra week. Let us know how it is!

So, I have only played the Graveyard of Giants that has the new Turning Point mode. I expected Jakku to have debris, but I think it is too much. Everything is a sand dune or object. Locking on seems harder than in other maps. If you do get a lock, it just hits a piece of junk and not the target. There is a Rebel Blockade Runner down in the middle of the map. Those that are like level 50 (yes, I have see the Dark Troopers on this map) rocket up to the top where they are pretty much invincible. Rebels can't push forward because you can't take out the snipers. I like the idea of this mode, but it feels a bit cramped and doesn't play like an Epic story event like I hoped it would.

Here is the trailer:

Got to finally play this one last night and it's just like you said. I did have fun with it as it was a slow push forward for the rebel side. It did help that the rebels were spread out in a long line amongst the debris. Only had time for two rounds so I'll need more time to get a feel for it.

I'm curious...is there spaceship debris falling all around like they said in the write up, and if so, is it able to slam into players unawares and crush them?

In the beginning of the match that [poo] is coming down hard but I haven't been hit by any of it so not sure about damage. Although that would be pretty cool if it did.

Nothing falls in game. When the Rebels take over a point, Star Destroyers drop an Orbital Strike all around the point taken to kill the Rebels who took it. It happens for each point taken.
