Bioware are constantly making updates for SWTOR and they've released some info about ehat they're going to be releasing in the future:
SWTOR wrote:Throughout E3, journalists will be able to take a sneak peek at some of the exciting content that is coming to Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ in the next year. This includes new Space Content, an increased level cap, the upcoming Operation: Terror From Beyond, which takes players to the Gree-controlled world of Asation to battle against an army of unseen horrors, and more!

But our biggest reveal is the announcement of Makeb, a brand new planet never-before seen in the Star Wars™ universe! A fully-realized world for you and your friends to explore, Makeb will also introduce an all-new storyline. The Hutt Cartel, tired of being ignored by the great powers of the galaxy, has taken Makeb in an attempt to acquire an unmatched power which can bring both the Galactic Republic and Sith Empire to their knees. It will be up to you and your allies to face off against the Hutt Cartel, breaking their hold on this once tranquil world and end their bid for galactic domination.

Couldn't disagree more. Being a multiplayer game is the genre. You won't be able to play half the game if it wasn't mulitplayer. They're going to make it free to play until level 15, anyway.

Well that's a step in the right direction.

+1.

You don't play MMOs to sit around and play single player. That's ridiculous. You play MMOs to play with other people. The most apt comparison to use is these forums - nobody would use forums 'single player'. People read and post here because of the community centered around it, and the game that ties them together.

No [poo] Sherlock. I understand what an MMO is. My 'point' was to get used to the controls (not to play the whole damn game) before committing to monthly fees. But as Swine said, if the give you some free levels to play first, that is a step in the right direction, given that I cannot read the extremely small print of their enclosed keyboard map.

And now you understand how I feel when I read people want to play their MMOs single player.

All MMOs come with 30 days free play time before subscribing for that very purpose...
