I have to agree, especially at the beginning, but I'm not an above average Engy. Personally, I like sniping them in the head at medium range. Too close they can kill snipers with one or 2 shots, especially with a Flechette rifle. Darkies are good if the Engy doesn't see you coming. But if you can master Engineer, that's the best class to kill an Engy. When boxed in everywhere like on Tantive 4, I lean toward Vanguard. Between missiles and grenades, I have a sporting chance against them, but the long reload is what's risky using those, especially when Engys can heal themselves.

This is what I do. Since I suck with all classes (except for, obviously, sniper), I take them out at close range with a quick no-scope headshot. Works every time
