Spare CD Key?

Postby [NH]Shadow » Sun Jun 07, 2015 5:35 pm

Having problems with my CD key. Anyone got a spare? @Panama this is the same one I gave you so I would recommend not using it because it's not working.

I'm not sure if I'm using the one you gave me or, the one that 40 gave. Either way...I have not had any issues..so far. Let me know if you need a new CD key, I think I might have some more keys available.

Yeah I could use a new one. I tested my key a bit more, and have come to realise that it's useless; and I'm pretty sure I didn't get banned from just about every server ever...although with me you never know. :punk:
I really appreciate it, mate.

If you can open the game then it shouldn't be a CD key issue (GameSpy did the real checking and it's gone now). However, it might help to kill the problem if you change keys. I'll send you several - they all should work.

Cough cough, keygen, cough cough.

Although the only one I tried gave out EU region codes, it was enough to get my NA copy started, but not joined to a server.

This was back when Gamespy was up however, so I bet it will work now.

I would keep mum on this but it's not like it really matters now. Anybody who wants to use this for nefarious purposes is probably already doing it.

The keygen only had a chance to produce valid Gamespy codes. In fact, you can just replace the eu20 part with na20 and it can still be used to install the game. The game itself has an algorithm to determine if a key is valid when you install, but Gamespy either had a more specific algorithm or a list of produced keys to determine if you could play online with it.

That's odd then, the first one I tried let me play the game, but not go online.
