Jedi academy is not that popular....and i prefer SWBF2 to it.

We had Jedi Academy servers years ago when SWGO was still apart of WGO. Actually that's where WGO began. We got rid of the JA servers about a year after WGO had picked up several SWBF2 servers. Our JA servers were relatively popular up until the release of SWBF2, we did try setting some JA servers up a little later on and even ran Movie Battles and Gary's Mod on the servers in an attempt to get some sort of player base on the servers. Neither one did generate much interest so Sev finally bid farewell to JA in order to focus on SWBF2, Battlefield 2 and CoD. Only the most senior staff, those of us who have been with WGO/SWGO for more than 8 years know that JA is where we first started out. In truth I think that might have been before Matt or Haas even joined WGO.

I believe it would be more beneficial for SWGO to look to the future and not the dirt road we came in off. That's just my opinion.
If there is genuine interest among the membership to start hosting JA then we could talk about fundraising for servers. Otherwise, judging from the sentiment here so far, I don't think it will happen.

I think haas is right on this....
But....IDK...
I know this is Star wars gaming order, but since it seems no star wars game similar to SWBF2 is comming out, + SWBF2 is Getting deader by the second...
I do think that at some point, SWGO should suport non-SW games, since there are not many left to suport + these OLD games are very expensive to maintain........
