Gamerz to host Melee Master tournament this Sunday

Postby ProfessorDreadNaught » Thu Apr 15, 2010 12:05 pm

Gamerz will be hosting our Melee Master Tournament this Sunday at 8PM Eastern to help promote the GWL version verification beta application. This will be a prize tournament for the top three players.

Event Requirements wrote:SWBFII v1.1,
+123 mod maps version 2.2,
Teamspeak 3 (no mic required, just for listening to directions)
GWL Version Verifier
Server: Gamerz GWL Competition
TS info: monster.gmrz.us:9987

At 8:00PM Eastern our GWL Competiton server will be setup with a buffer map for players to show up and warm up, (No Force, FFA style). Teams will be formed and rules explained.

At 8:30PM Eastern we will begin the event. The event consists of 8 Hero Assault mod maps with 8 minute timed play and no breaks between maps. Total match time should be 64 minutes. Teams will alternate Sith/Hero each map and Force /No Force will alternate every two maps. Each player will play 2 rounds as Hero with Force, 2 rounds as Hero in No Force, 2 rounds as Sith with Force and finally, 2 rounds as Sith in No Force.

Scoring is based on kills in each round. FF is on and TK's count against you. Excessive kill stealing (like most pub servers) will get you booted, as well as bad language, glitching etc. We observe GWL rules on character availability as well as turret use during play.

The player with the most kills at the end of 8 rounds is named Mêlée Master. Prize amounts have not yet been determined but will be available on the Event night.

No need to sign up, you DO need to have the GWL version verifier. Other than that, just show up and play.
