No, I was using it as another example because it means close to the same thing as retard. It is saying someone is mentally slow (Retard) or that their mental age is of a child (Moron)

The difference is "retard" is used for someone who has an actual mental disability. Moron is just an insult to someone's intelligence, seperate from mental disability.
I personally hate the use of "retard" in video game culture. Largely because my uncle was retarded (till he died in an accident resulting from his retardation), and because I've worked with retarded people before in a nursing home. People use the word so lightly, they have no idea.

Indeed, nowadays this is the case for many such words.
Personally i don't really go beyond idiot which is what people use retard for nowadays.....
