Hero Assault (HA) Rules and Regs

Postby WD-40 » Wed Jun 02, 2010 5:18 pm

Well guys/gals...over the last week, I have been looking at lots of various angry back and forth posts on the "do's and don'ts" for Hero Assault. Seems JBA is A LOT less complicated, and less threatening to one's reputation.

I love playing JBA, but have been 'wanting' to try HA for some time. After reading the posts reflected in Zephyrs' "Admin" thread, which evolved into a serious and ugly discussion of rules, regs, t-p, t-k, s-k...I mean, Good Lord, what the F-K! I have to admit, after this mess, I seriously need an 'HA for Dummies' book, because I'm genuinly nervous about 'pissing every little turd' off that thinks he's 'God's gift to gaming'!

Before "I" jump into HA to "have fun", I (and maybe others) would like to know the basic, and more sofisticated rules and regs, proceedures, acronyms, tendencies, proceedures, etc, as to how it is to be played that is fair, correct. I want to have fun on HA, but I don't want to break rules or piss off anyone either (Good luck not pissing anyone off..right?)

Hi there,

I would say be yourself online and don't worry about trying to please everyone as it's not going to happen, someone is bound to complain or whine because you have team pushed, kill stole, team killed them or they view you as a bad player or a good player. Be prepared to be called a noob or worse.

HA can be a bit of an ordeal depending on who's around and I'm sure by the postings you have an idea who that might be.

The general rules/announcements are:

* Join the Star Wards Gaming Order today! see forum http://www.SWGOhome.com
* SWGP Teamspeak voice server IP:64.34.180.198:8769
* Force Server. FF on. Don't harass other players
* Watch your language. We kick/ban for bad language and names.
* No Glitching. You'll be banned on sight!
* No excessive Team Killing, Team Pushing or Kill Stealing.
* No infinite: choke, block or run. No Choke lightning
* Report trouble makers via char or on http://www.SWGOhome.com forum.
* Visiting Clans post only Xire and limit recruiting messages.
* Conduct yourself in a Respectful Manner

So chin-up ignore the clowns and play your game with the above in mind. If your unclear or want to discuss something chat with an admin either in-game, xfire or via a PM/general message on these forums.

I hope this helps. At the end of the day we are all here to have fun, relax and play the game. If there's a minority who want to cause issues that's why the admins are around to apply the rules.

I hope to see you in-game!

Regards,

Kren

What Kren said.

ks = kill steal = your team mate is killing an enemy, and you jump in and kill the enemy first, denying your team mate the kill
tp = team push
tk = team kill
Politeness is a discipline that compels respectful behavior. Morality is like a politeness of the soul, an etiquette of the inner life, a code of duties, a ceremonial of the essential.

Don't let Zephyr be the basis of information that you glean on HA. Try it out, have fun. Pissing off the turds is half the fun anyways as long as your not breaking the rules to do it.

There are also skilled players. So be prepared to face them!

(Beware if you see the name Draigun, as he is a very skilled player).
