Sarcasm aside, the ONLY change I'm aware this mod can make to gameplay is the field of view changing. Fast recovery is related to your position (esp. near walls), the angle the force hits you at, and occasionally lag. "Lag shield" is entirely dependent on the connection from you, to the server, to the other player.

It is banned on principle in GWL competition since it changes core game files (though it seems 3/4 of the community uses it anyway...), but it can't alter any actual game mechanics since that would break online compatibility.
