JBA ultra laggy

A couple of hours ago, on JBA, it was very laggy. My ping was about 320 and the other 3 people's were the same. The admin said that the server is going to be down because of the maybe. Anyone know why JBA's having this sudden burst in lagginess?

I wasn't aware of any time that it wasn't laggy.

Well usually it is like this when it is full, but there were only 4 ppl on it.

Lag in my experience is created when your own connection is slow. Your ping is over 300 but others are not then that's a good sign the problem is in your equipment. Before you play next time check and make sure your computer isn't downloading anything. Windows notoriously downloads security updates and patches at the most inopurtune times, so I would check that. If you are connected to a network then find out if others are downloading, you might have a high bps connection but if you have 3 others using it just as much, your only going to get 25% of that speed. Also if your on a wireless connection, check and make sure you have good signal strength.
I've always gotten great reception on the game, my ping stays at about 69. The only time I ever saw it spike super high, it turned out my sister was uploading a boat load of pictures to snapfish.
