Modifications?

Postby (SWGO)SirPepsi » Sun Sep 22, 2013 12:17 am

Is there anything we can do to help bridge the gap? When a game ends 200-52, I think we realize something needs to be done. Force Pull is perfectly fine; I use it myself occasionally.

Maybe we could mod the villains so that one character has this option as well?
If not, is it possible to cut out force pull for Aayla and Mundi and replace it with something else?

If this isn't feasible, I understand, but there is a tremendous gap between Heroes and Villains, 90% of games are won by the former.

Thanks,
SirPepsi

Personally I'd just prefer all force powers be removed, and all blaster characters removed, and a revamp of the COMBO system, and new villains and heroes, and... yeah I kinda get carried away sometimes... but I prefer it that way.

It happens sometimes, one team has more players pulling but there is not always such an overbalance and other times the Villans have the upper hand. If the team has a lot of players which are not used to pull them they are going die, pull is the easy choice, less to think about, range effective.

You mention force pull and say it's ok but then want it replaced for certain characters...mm.

Mod-it, no because then will have people saying push is OP, Vaders dash is 2 much...etc and before u know it all u have left is a melee game with every chimp C/blocking and playing a waiting game to see who becomes bored the quickest.

I also don't think 90% of all games on SWGO servers are won by the team pulling, if you refer to other servers, well that's there look-out. There are plenty of games where Villans have the upper hand.

The game has it's flaws but given how long it has survived with all force powers intact that should say something given the amount of people who have and continue to play here.

Thanks for the responses. Again, I note the fact that force is characteristic to this game, and I can appreciate and understand that. This said, when a game is as unbalanced as the example above, players tend to leave - the game then becomes even more unbalanced, and no one has fun :(

I'm open to suggestions, but I really think something needs to be done, and @Kren, slippery slope, just b/c many complain about pull (legitimately) does not predict they'll do the same when it's gone. And, in any case, if we give the vills one puller, all will be happy - or at least less displeased.

If there were 10 dark troopers on a map, that would be ridiculous. this is similar to number of pullers, which is impossible to combat if there are 10 of them. solution = limit pullers to 3-5 aalayas/mundos total

This works as well. Can we impose a limit on the # of pullers that can spawn?
