8 Signs You're Addicted to SWBF2

Postby (SWGO)SirPepsi » Wed Jan 22, 2014 1:18 am

So though we've become quite a tight-knit community over the past few (or several) years, we can't forget that what brought us together was a common interest: the game we love so much, Star Wars Battlefront II.

I present to you the warnings/indications of an incurable addiction to the game!

1) You start trying to find "glitches" in real life. - walking through walls and such.
2) You begin to characterize your friends and family according to characters found in the game (ex. She dislikes direct confrontation, but if you give her the chance, show any weakness, she'll find a way to get you...Sniper/Jango Fett)
3) Someone ticks you off and the first insult that comes to your mind is "puller."
4) While listening to any song, you begin to hear the HA or Homescreen theme music.
5) You have to write a paper for school/work and begin to start every sentence with "t."
6) You begin speaking like Yoda and attempting to "educate" others in the ways of the force.
7) While exposed to the outdoors (or any place with large amounts of vegetation), you immediately think of Felucia or Dagobah.
8) When anyone gets the best of you (scores higher on a test, beats you in a game of basketball, etc.), your first thought is to blame lag.

Feel free to add to this guys!

I like number 8. I didn't do well in one exam... I blamed JBA's lovely lag

9) You start making up imaginary real-life tie-ins to relate your real life to your gaming life.

You play semi-pro football? Now, that's an accomplishment! Kudos to you, my friend :) What are your career plans?

Number 5 and number 8 have affected me multiple times before. I feel embarrassed each time they do, haha.

11) You have 3 copies of the game on disk (for each member of the family that plays) and consider buying the game on steam during the sales just in case.

Guilty. The only way I could get them to play :whistling:

And the extra steam copy comes in handy when a friend comes over.

12) You begin to associate impending disaster with Wookie Rockets and start verbally cursing MD, wherever he may be.
