Yeah, apparently GameSpy is completely shutting down (which currently supports a bunch of games).

One thing I noticed: there is a conflict in shutdown dates. Some articles say May 31st, while EA's site says June 30th. I wonder if that means we have one more extra month than we thought...

Okey, but can someone explain me one thing:
Gamespy is dead but swbf2 servers are still working. Now they say EA shuts down THEIR servers but swgo servers are private property of swgo because there are people within us who donate for them. That means swgo servers are not EA servers.
Or am I wrong at all of it just means that we won't be able to play multi at all as they will switch off it totally?

Gamespy is not shutdown yet, which is why swbf2 is still working. They will be shutting down and that will stop many EA games from working online. When EA shuts down the Gamespy servers, it will shutdown the server listing that you see when you select multiplayer. This means that even though the SWGO server could still be running, no one will be able to see it in the server list. That is why we are looking into alternatives to GameSpy to keep swbf2 alive.

We could use this advantage for when SW Battlefront will be released in 2015/2016. :star-wars-smiley-026:
