Hey everyone, in the past couple months I've seen a huge number of people very misinformed or completely unaware of the Gamespy shutdown and how it will affect SWBF2. So I made a video to inform everyone of what's actually happening with the Gamespy shutdown and what our best options are to keep playing. I strongly urge you to pass this video on to anyone you know who plays SWBF2 online.

I didn't see any mention of the Qtracker master server in your video, it requires that you edit your hosts file to redirect the gamespy traffic to the Qtracker master servers, but it will restore full functionality to the in-game browser. Server admins have to make the same changes so their servers will be visible.

Code: Select all
65.112.87.186  swbfront2pc.available.gamespy.com
65.112.87.186  swbfront2pc.master.gamespy.com
65.112.87.186  swbfront2pc.ms6.gamespy.com
65.112.87.186  gpcm.gamespy.com
65.112.87.186  gpsp.gamespy.com

There's currently 34 active SWBF2 servers. More info can be found here if you need it: http://www.qtracker.com/master-gamespy.php
