Well I broke down and upgraded my RAM to 16gb. Meh. It was cheap.

Your i5 will run SWBF2 very good with a decent graphics card. 16 gigs is a lot of memory, shouldn't have to upgrade again. I just added an 8 gig stick of ram to my computer, bringing it up to 12 gigs. The most I use usually is around 8 gigs, but it is nice to have that extra ram just to be on the safe side.

Oh I didn't do it for the game, I did it for Photoshop. My guess is that the coming Battlefront game should still work fine for people even if they have 4 GB and a good graphics card. I've seen some pages that give some good educated guesses on what a proper machine configuration should be, but it is just that until we see the true recommendations come out.

I'm having trouble installing SWBF2, think my disc is broken. Definitely not going to get another one, so this may be it. I will try transferring the program files and running it in Safe Mode (which doesn't require a disc), or through Xfire.

Just built my computer, all good for Battlefront (3).
Specs:
CPU: Intel i5-4690K
GPU: MSI GTX 970
Cooler: Liquid Cooled
8GB RAM
MSI Z-87 Motherboard
850 Watt PSU
ASUS VG-248QE monitor.

Thing eats up any game, super fun. Cant wait for 100fps for Battlefront.

I have a laptop with the following:

Intel Core I53230M 2.6GHz with Turbo Boost up to 3.2 GHz
NVIDIA GeForece GT 730M
8 GB DDR3 Memory
17 inch screen

Maybe this will allow me to play in Low or Mid level graphics settings for SWBF3?

Probably not. The main issue is the GT730M, which is low-end even by laptop specs. If you're really determined to find out, you could wait for Battlefield 4 to be given another "gametime" trial on origin, since Battlefail 4 runs on the same engine that Star Wars Battlefront will use.
