From what I have heard talking to folks, the game play seems to be there, but the robot voices get annoying real fast. A couple of our old bunch were lucky enough to get in on some early game testing. I wish I could say that...

I was invited to the Alpha testing and I was so excited only to be crushed that my video card was too old to play.

I got into the Alpha as well, although, I couldn't imagine why. I was very impressed with the new class structure, and card abilities. Some things did get repetitive, like the voices. Won't buy until after release, where I can see if there are more than 4 maps. Game had great graphics.

I'm so jealous.

So....PC or console on this game?

PC for me if I can get the needed upgrades.

I'm holding off with the preorder mostly to see if DICE ups their game in the anticheat department.

They seem to have done a better job with what they have in Battlefield 1. It's still bad, but people are getting busted faster.

Crossing my fingers that he's right, but at least we will have a decent singleplayer game regardless.

I played the alpha. Overall I'm very optimistic. The current build of their frostbite engine has some awful input lag issues, as I understand it. That combined with the generally stuttery alpha-related performance it gave a really jittery and unsatisfying expereince of the gunplay. I expect these issues will be fixed by release, but if they're not, then it's a deal-breaker for me.
