You only wanted to donate because of your self-interest in one server. But since it's not going to that specific server, you decided not to donate? I don't know, that's kind of selfish to me. Not sure what else I'd call it

And people play for free on SWGOs private servers. Maybe it wouldn't be selfish to regulate who plays on them
You could donate to a hosting company every month for your own server. Then all you'd have to do is find people to play on it.

Well, if you will hear me out, I think I have a plan! :) Here Goes:

So, Mr. Chicago says the servers cost about 121 dollars per month. Mathematically, that is 1452 dollars per year. Donations received over 9 months has been $495, divide this by 3 and you get $165 per quarter of a year. Multiply this by 4 and you get $660 of donations in a year. That is what we can expect for the donations. Currently Mr. Chicago would be paying 1452-660= 792 Dollars! That is a lot of money, and it is unfair to ask him to pay this much.

So, step one of my plan involves getting rid of the No Force Server (if only temporarily). The servers cost about 120 a month, and there are 4? servers I believe. This means that each server costs approximately 30 dollars per month=$360 per year. So we are saving $360 a year from just that cut.

Next, if we can, I believe we should cut 10 to 15 character spots off of the (SWGO)NYC Server. This will save us approximately 5 to 10 dollars per month= 60 to 120 dollars over the course of a year.

$360+$90 (in the middle of 60 and 120)= $450

So we save $450 Dollars for the year! :) This means the total cost of the servers shrinks from $1452 to $1002.

Matt-Chicago would now pay 1002-660= $342 per year instead of the previous $792!

And if donations are forthcoming, let us say an increase of $150 per year, the donations would be somewhere in the range of 660+150=810 Dollars!

This means Mr. Chicago's personal cost is reduced to $1002(because of the cuts)- $880 (because of increased donations) to $122 per year!

I know I am being optimistic, but it's in my nature.

Note: *If we happen to ever have a SURPLUS, we can ADD character spots to JBA or reinstate the No Force server.
