Buying more RAM

So getting into gaming again a little bit lately and my RAM is seriously lacking for today's generation. I only have 4 Gigs of DDR3. What should I buy?
Here's the rest of my rig

Processor
AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 630 Processor (4 CPUs), ~2.8GHz

Memory
4096MB RAM DDR3, not sure about clock speed

Video Card: Nvidia GeForce GTS 450

Motherboard: MSI MS-7599

Seriously, though, check how many RAM slots you have vs. how many you're using. You probably have 2 sticks, and 4 slots. If so, just buy 2 more of the model you already have - 8GB is enough unless you habitually leave 100 browser tabs open. If you do want to go for 16 you'd probably have to replace everything.

If for whatever reason I'm wrong about your current slot usage, I'd recommend getting 2X 4GB.

If you want to improve your computer for gaming, you may want to slap a new GPU into it. The R7 260x is a good buy for 79 dollars after $20 rebate, it requires a 500 watt power supply. If you have a weak power supply from an off the shelf store brand computer, you can slap a GTX 750ti into your system. People have had good results with the GTX750ti in store brand computers with 300 and 250 watt power supplies.

How much memory you buy is determined by two things: 1) How much your motherboard manual says it will hold, and 2) what version of Windows you are using. If you are using Windows XP, your current 4 gigs should be all you need. If you are running Windows 7, you will be able to expand to the maximum that your board supports, but again, you need to look that up. You should be fine sticking with the DDR 1600. Now if you are wanting to upgrade for the new Battlefront game that will be coming in 2015, I think you will have to start planning now for a new motherboard, CPU, and all. Machines are going to have to be fairly highly specced to run the new Battlefront game from what I am reading. I suggest you seriously think which direction you want to go. My suggestion is if you are comfortable rebuilding your current system, that you save up and spend around $600-700 and do some upgrades, rather than buy a whole new rig. You would be surprised what you can do to improve what you already have. Good luck.

If you're looking for a more up to date ram, then may I suggest looking at the above specimen.

Eats a lot of grass, good multi-purpose companion in winter... but they make a lot of noise and memory's not very good I'm afraid.
