Actually, my external hard drive is acting up, it would not let me copy the files to other place. It says "Cyclic redundancy check", I know that the problem lies within the HDD, but how do I fix it?

Adrive.com gives you 50 GB for free. A CRC error usually means corrupted files from a previous network or drive transfer. Try doing a ChkDsk on the external drive

I did the chkdsk /R on the drive but it says unvalid :(

Yes...CRC errors are typically difficult to overcome
