Hi Duel,

Well actually yeah. For some reason my cd key wasn't getting on to SWGO a couple of days ago. I didn't think it possible that I could have been banned so I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the entire game a couple of times, even trying new cd keys from keygen. Eventually I just ordered a new game and have it now but still with a new disc the same big servers are not present.

I will defo try this 1.1 patch, - do you know where I can find that?
I'm starting to suspect though that it's an issue with my system or something, because the problem is present on the new disc too.

No, but I think there are some version switchers, that just swap the original and 1.1 exe.

Yeah, it's definitely the 1.1 patch...

When you open your SWBF2 game, look in the top-right corner: does it say 1.0 or 1.1? If the former, that's the problem, if the latter, you've got me confused.

Zerted is actually working on a 1.4, but it may not be released because he's so busy with college. I do recommend 1.3 though. For one thing, it replaces the mine explosion effect with one that causes less lag in multiplayer.

Hey guys, thanks for all the assistance. It definitely is the 1.1 patch thing - it's been such a long time since I had to install BF2 again, probably a few years, so I just forgot all about that!

However I found out that there are a few patches out there and some may not work for some people. For me in the EU, I couldn't use the 'Domestic' patch.
My disc is a DVD so I had to use the International DVD version, so for anyone out there getting the message

'Wrong disc inserted. Please insert the original Battlefront II disc'

It is because you are using an incompatible patch. Make sure whether you are using a DVD disc or a CD-ROM, and also whether you are in the US or outside. Then choose the appropriate patch here:
