Well after todays events(320 ping) i Was mad and began looking for wayes to reduce lag.

So i found a few thing that actually help a lot to reduce lag.

Here is what you can do.

First download this program(of 30MB) its a trial version but its quite enough FTM.
http://www.tune-up.com/download/

Install it and start it then let it scan how to tweak certain programs to preform better by increasing the compatebilyty.

Then download this program

http://download.cnet.com/Game-Booster/3000-18512_4-10913645.html

ITs a gamebooster(only to be ussed if you dont do any background aplications)

When Game mode is activated all the unnesesary background programs are closed and only the applications needed to play a game and Windows basic programs are still running.
Ive tested it and my Ocupied RAM memory reduced from 50%(whith SWBF2 running) to 30%.
other then that all the ussual computer updates(that dont come whith Windows update) can be found there as it shows what updates are available and it displayes a link.

I hope it helps you all like it helped me

I'm glad you're finding something that works.

My advice for people who lag is to change their in game video settings to a lower resolution, turn down all the layer settings, turn off shadows, lower lod, etc.

Does that 'tune up' come with any spyware/trojans/etc for the 'freeness' of it?..I'm a little leery of that freeware...but Game Booster is very good. I use it.

Ive downloaded and scanned it.

Its not from a pirate-bay page but from the original page hence why it is a TRIAL-VERSION.
So it doesent contain anything bad.

BTW after applying this i went to the german enten server i ussed to play in and I got my lowest ping ever 190!

I want to add that the tune-up program allows to un-delete files.

So if we deleted them and didnt write over them we can get those back :punk: :punk:

I have to say MT,
testing it for a week now GameBooster has significantly reduced my in-game lag and ping(15-20%). Other games have received some performance improvements as well.

Also, the timing was impeccable; received the Premium version of GameBooster for free and will use it to my heart's content.
You have my gratitude for helping me and many others who have/had lag issues, thank you.

Cheers

Yanoda
